29 Nov GRATITUDE = No Grumpy Pants!!!!!
I woke up with grumpy pants on this morning. Well, perhaps not so much grumpy as in ‘feelin a little flat’. Yea, na, grumpy!
Usually I try to have a positive outlook -hell I even preach it, don’t I lol But some days things get on top of me. I get tired, frustrated with my recovery progress and ongoing mobility impairment. Some days I grieve for the lifestyle I was enjoying prior to the accident-especially the riding!!! Some days just feel hard!!!!
By this stage positivity goes flying out the window and I find myself focussing on the negatives, in my grumpy pants.
Want to know the best way to rip off your grumpy pants??
GRATITUDE = No Grumpy Pants!!!!!
One of my favourite quotes (I love my quotes aye) is- ‘Change your thoughts and you change your world’-Norman Vincent Peale.
It is amazing how quickly you can change your mood by just focusing on the positives rather than the negatives.
If you struggle with the concept-and hey, let’s be honest, it can be challenging to feel positive about anything when you feel that everything in your life sucks! So let’s break this down-start with the little things. You know, all those things we take for granted every single day.
For example be grateful for the bed, mattress, sheets and blankets you have to sleep in. What about power and gas supplies-your stove to cook on, kitchen appliances-kettle to make a hot drink, fridge that keeps your food fresh. Running water-hot and cold. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush and tooth paste-image walking around with furry teeth and bad breathe eewwwk ohhh and then there is deodorant-be grateful for deodorant lol you get the picture.
The more things you show gratitude for, the more positive things you find to focus on-the key is;
Remember To Remember Gratitude
Anyways, back to where this all started- As I began to focus on the positives in my world-there are many, rather than the negatives the grumpy pants came off.
Then I walked into my office space AND Voilà- my flowers had bloomed!!!! Bright, colourful. Happy! I smiled.
Thank you universe for the reminder.
Remember To Remember Gratitude
Cheers
Miss H 🙂 x
